The Yima Gasification Plant, located in Yima, Henan, is one of the earliest gas chemical plants using Lurgi gasifiers in China. The facility’s wastewater treatment station has 5 SBR biochemical reactors with capacity of 1,000m3 each, and treats up to 5,000 m³ coal gasification wastewater per day. The BioDopp biochemical technology is used for renovation of one SBR tank. After renovation, the BioDopp biochemical reaction tank is able to treat 1,500m³ of gasification wastewater. Though the capacity is increased by 50%, the power consumption per tonne of wastewater is reduced by 40%. Moreover, the effluent quality is noticeably better than that from the previous SBR reactor.
